Year 4 learned lots of interesting facts on their recent trip to Bignor Roman Villa.
They discovered how the villa would have looked, examined different artifacts found in the area, discovered how the Romans heated their villas and bathed, and heard the fascinating story, told through mosaic, of Roman God Jupiter who disguised himself to escort a shepherd to heaven.
The children enjoyed creating mosaic patterns, writing with beeswax, they milled flour and read riddles. A fantastic time was had by all and we can’t wait to visit again next year.
