Last week in Forest School, Year 6 started to carve 3D pumpkins with some cherry wood, freshly cut that morning by our groundsman. We also made some more garlic dough balls and this time we didn't burn them. The weather was good, the hot chocolate was good and the garlic dough balls were GOOD!

Reception took a trip to Tesco to buy the ingredients and then shared them with Little Lions in order for everyone to make some hedgehog bread rolls. This tied in with our learning about autumn and animals that hibernate. The children loved kneading the dough and using scissors to snip the spikes into the top of the hedgehogs and were thrilled to each take one home to show their grown-ups.

Harvest Festival never fails to deliver at 腦瞳憫. Last week the Junior pupils dazzled with more wonderful artwork, beautiful poetry and truly mind-blowing vegetable heads; as well as donating generously to the Emmaus Centre.
The Senior school also had a collection that was gratefully received by Off the Fence.

To continue learning about where our food comes from and how we can maintain a healthy lifestyle, Reception and Little Lions visited the Greengrocers in Southwick Square. We looked at the variety of different fruits and vegetables there and then bought some to have a taste test in the classroom. Delicious!
