A brilliant display of rugby was on show by the U15 rugby team. Crunching try stopping tackles, sprinting the length of the pitch to chase the opposition and slick feet evading tackles to move the ball forward and score tries. Players were quick to the rucks to protect the ball and worked together in both attack and defence. Every player had an impact on the game and should be extremely proud of the progress they are making in their individual performance and understanding of the game. Try scorers were Lily, Scarlett, Phoebe and Amelie: who also took on kicking duties to score the conversions. It was lovely to see others giving the kicking side of the game a go. Player of the match goes to Lily for her leadership and communication throughout the game. An absolute pleasure to watch all of you play.

As part of their World War II topic, our Year 6 pupils visited Newhaven Fort. They explored real artefacts and documents from the Home Front and followed a trail through a mock wartime house to learn about how families lived and the different types of air raid shelters. Some pupils even stepped inside an air raid shelter, experiencing a dramatic 鈥渘ear miss鈥� from a bomb!After lunch, they toured the rest of the fort and learned more about the D-Day landings. A fantastic day of hands-on learning about this important period in history.

What a fantastic World Book Day we had in 福利姬 Juniors! The children arrived in some truly amazing costumes, bringing their favourite book characters to life. One of the highlights of the day was our paired class reading, where our KS2 pupils teamed up with children from KS1 to share stories together - a lovely example of our older pupils supporting and inspiring the younger ones! We also enjoyed a whole-school assembly about a very bad book (The Worst Book Ever), which sparked plenty of laughter and pupil participation! Throughout the day, classes took part in a range of fun, book-themed activities that celebrated the joy of reading.

BRONZE FOR THE U14s Our Year 9 Girls had an absolutely phenomenal day at the County Rugby 7s tournament, proving they are a force to be reckoned with. Out of 16 schools competing, our squad fought their way to an incredible 3rd place finish. The progress this team has made this year is nothing short of inspiring. From the first whistle to the final try, the girls showcased outstanding running lines and creative offloading that kept the defense guessing. Some of the biggest tackles of the tournament came from our side. Their teamwork and support for one another showed exactly how much they鈥檝e grown as a unit. More importantly, their team spirit stayed high all day long. They played with heart, discipline, and a genuine smile. We couldn鈥檛 be prouder of this group of athletes. Well done, girls! The future of Girls rugby at Shoreham looks incredibly bright.

We are delighted to have appointed a team of pupil librarians who have already started assisting Mrs Dines in the senior library. They were presented with their badges on Friday and we offer our congratulations to them all!

Little Lions and Reception had a fantastic time celebrating World Book Day! 馃摎鉁� The children loved taking part in paired reading with Year 3 and Year 6, sharing stories, building confidence, and enjoying the magic of books together. What a wonderful way to celebrate a love of reading! 馃�侌煋�
