Our ducklings have been very busy settling into life at school and getting to know all of the children in the junior school! They have quickly become little celebrities, with lots of excited visitors coming to see them each day.
They have also been showing off their impressive swimming skills. The ducklings love splashing about, ducking and diving under the water, and it has been wonderful for the children to watch them so confidently exploring.
The children have been absolutely fantastic when handling the ducklings. They have shown such care, gentleness and responsibility, making sure the ducklings feel safe and calm. We are so proud of how kind and sensible they have all been. 休

Sunshine + maths = the perfect combination 儭
Our Reception and KS1 Maths Games Club took learning outdoors yesterday, making the most of the warm, sunny weather. From Battleships to practise grid references, to card games sharpening addition skills, Maths Jenga with a twist, and competitive rounds of Four in a Row the children were fully engaged, thinking strategically and having lots of fun along the way.
What better way to spend part of an afternoon than learning through play in the fresh air?

Year 8 pupils enjoyed an exciting trip to Portsmouth Historic Dockyard, exploring Britains rich maritime history and the role of the Royal Navy.
Highlights included visits to the Mary Rose, HMS Victory, and HMS Warrior, where students were amazed by the ships and their stories. They also had the chance to meet members of the Royal Navy and learn about life at sea today.
A fantastic day of learning, curiosity, and inspiration! #portsmouthhistoricdockyard

In the lovely sunshine in Wednesday afternoon the U11s took to the hockey field. It is great to see a hockey fixture back in the diary and a new experience for the players. The team remembered their skills from their lessons and demonstrated dribbling, passing, shooting and tackling in a closely contested match against Sompting Abbotts. A thoroughly enjoyable afternoon for all. Player of the match goes to Monty M for his innovation when dribbling with the ball to keep possession.

Our young adventurers had a fantastic time in Forest School this week, developing both practical skills and teamwork in the great outdoors!
The children learned how to tie a timber hitch knot, showing great determination and resilience as they practised this tricky skill. They then put their knowledge into action by attaching ropes and working collaboratively to build and secure their very own shelters.
It was wonderful to see such creativity, problem-solving, and perseverance on display as well as lots of smiles and muddy hands!
Well done, Year 1 and 2 future survival experts in the making! 儭
