It was a beautiful summers evening for the Year 11 pupils who gathered at Tottington Manor on Monday to celebrate the end of their time here at the school.
Mrs Bakhtiari said it was a fitting way to end an era for the class of 25. Not just a celebration but testament to the hard work and dedication of our Year 11 pupils. It was a moment of pride for us and, as we bid farewell, it is with optimism and excitement for the bright futures ahead of them.

Five 腦瞳憫 athletes qualified as part of the London South team to participate in the ISA National Athletics finals in Birmingham. Sophie (Y6 long jump), Freya (Y7, 1500m), Gino (Y9 800m), Luca (Y9 long jump) and Rhys (Y9 200m and 300m) made the journey to the Commonwealth Games stadium to perform on the big stage. A brilliant opportunity to compete against some of the top athletes in the country. It was a great day for Rhys who won the 300m and 200m gold to go with the 100m gold he won two years ago. Congratulations Rhys and well done to all our athletes for making it to the finals.

A mixture of Year 9, Year 10 and some staff had lots of fun taking part in a Guinness World Record challenge! It was organised by Jamie Oliver, to hopefully break the record for the largest online cookery class which is currently held by Poland and stands at 6778 people. We joined JO at 11.00 along with other schools and organisations and cooked alongside his head chefs to make a homemade pasta and tomato sauce. We learnt how to make different pasta shapes and a fragrant tomato, garlic & basil sauce: the room was really buzzing and hot but well worth the effort, with pupils agreeing that the pasta was yummy and would make it again.
Watch this space to see if we successfully achieved enough numbers to count towards the World record -more to follow!

腦瞳憫 had nine pupils as part of the West Sussex South team competing against seven other districts in the Sussex Schools Athletics track and field championships. Phoebe, Lily (both long jump), and Dexter (javelin) in year 8. Hannah (javelin), Slyvie (high jump), Molly (200m), Gino (800m), Luca (pole vault) were the year 9's involved and finally Alice (Y11 pole vault) made up the Shoreham representatives. A great experience for all. A silver medal for Alice and bronze for Luca and Phoebe. All three went on to represent Sussex Schools at an inter county event the following week. Alice and Luca have now been selected to go to the English Schools National Championships in Birmingham in July.
