馃Wow!馃What a day at the girls football festival in Ascot. The U11鈥檚 came second in their group, but narrowly lost 1-2 in the knock out. The U13鈥檚 qualified for the plate, saw through seven penalties for the semi final and went on to take the bronze medal. The U15鈥檚 without a sub, performed superbly to win their group to play in the cup. Penalties in the first knockout came, a solid performance in the semi final saw then playing for the trophy. With the final tied after extra tine it was penalties again. The team didn鈥檛 disappoint and brought home the trophy. Well done to all the players involved. 馃

This week Year 1 have been reading the story The Enormous Chocolate Pudding in connection with our topic on Food and Health. We decided to try and recreate it and made a a really yummy chocolate cake!

The U13B team had a closely matched game against Sompting Abbots. The team developed throughout the game, gaining confidence in tackles and improvement in passing. A couple of runs down the wing and shots from Freddie clawed back two goals. In the second half Shoreham scored first, but were unable to close the gap. The final score was 3-5 to Sompting. Player of the match goes to Charlie P for resilience and determination throughout the whole game.

We are so proud of how well our Reception and Little Lions children have settled into their new classes this term. They have shown great confidence exploring their learning environments, trying new activities, and making lots of new friends along the way.
Already, we have seen such enthusiasm for learning from creative play and outdoor adventures to early reading, writing and number work. It has been wonderful to see the children鈥檚 curiosity, smiles, and growing independence shining through each day.
A big well done to all of our Reception and Little Lions pupils for such a fantastic start. We cannot wait to see what the rest of the term brings! 馃挏鉁�
