Year 7 Rugby Opener!
After weeks of battling waterlogged pitches, our Year 7 rugby team finally swapped the mud for the match-day grass this week! They travelled away to Dorset House School for their very first contact fixture, and what a debut it was.
The hard work put in during lessons and activity afternoons was on full display. It was a physical, high-energy game from the first whistle to the last:
• First Half: A tough start saw Shoreham trailing 3-1 at the break.
• The Comeback: Our boys showed incredible grit in the second half, mounting a fantastic comeback to take a 4-3 lead with just minutes on the clock.
• The Finish: In a nail-biting finale, Dorset House crossed the line in the dying seconds to end the game in a 4-4 draw.
A fair result for two very well-matched sides. A huge congratulations to the whole squad for their spirit and sportsmanship.

The potters have worked hard over the last few weeks designing and creating their pinch pots. They were bisque fired in the kiln and then painted using a variety of glazes. The results were stunning and all the children were very pleased with their results.

Day 3 in Iceland and we were up at 5:30am to start our journey to Solheimmajokull to participate in a glacier walk. The views along the way were simply breathtaking and the glacier magnificent. We split into three groups where each group did a slightly different activity as we ascended the glacier, which ranged from walking through tight crevices, descending into an ice cave and hanging over a moraine! On the way back we visited The Black Beach and some stunning waterfalls.
